Alexandra Tănasie

Weaving paths of reconnection to your personal power, harnessing space for you to integrate your traumatic experiences and supporting a baseline for developing your creative potential.

Take a moment to get to know me better!

My name is Alexandra Ștefania Tănasie and I am a psychotherapist, a voice therapist and a trauma practitioner, using the Somatic Experiencing method. Part of my mission is to reconnect people with their inner strength, which we can often get disconnected from throughout our lives, due to unfavourable experiences.

I made my first steps on this journey twelve years ago, driven by the deep urge to find peace and understand my inner turmoil. During my journey throughout the years, I took part in numerous courses and trainings and I was also called by my inner guidance to visit other countries, to experience the way of living of the indigenous people. I gained thus invaluable experience and learned about alternative manners of healing and also about ways to develop and enrich our creative potential.

Mexico, Chile, Ecuador and Mongolia are some of the places and cultures that have left a strong impression on me and on my healing perspectives.

I consider myself an unconventional therapist but beyond that, I consider myself a simple human being who found her own way, combining scientific methods with old ways of healing. I am now open and willing to guide other people who are looking to integrate their unfavourable experiences but also to develop their gifts and get to know themselves outside of trauma.

I started this personal development journey from “minus infinity”/”below zero”, totally asleep, disconnected and with a deep fear of death that was constantly blowing on my neck. I had become used to it, it was everpresent. At some point, I had even given up resisting it and hoping it would ever go away.

Nu mă puteam conecta real cu natura, la frumos, la liniște, totul era o alertă continuă, iar relațiile în general, îmi aduceau multă activare și disconfort.

All this happened until one day someone showed up, someone who trusted my process more than I did and convinced me not to give up the fight.

The seven years that followed this decision were the hardest years that I have consciously lived in my life. Coming back towards my body after a lot of time of emotional freezing and dissociation was a sudden process for me, one that I wouldn’t wish for anyone to experience in the same way.

I had one year and a half of spending most of my time in bed, with a lot of chronic pain, lack of energy and strength in my body to do things. It was a time when I learned a lot about myself, my body, and my nervous system, about love, acceptance, compassion, energy work, and the connection with my higher self and my guides. I had to be faced with a STOP sign to what I had been before in order to find my inner rhythm and come back to myself.

The most recent years of my life were all about inner work. All the journeys I took helped me find my answers, reconnect with myself beyond trauma and integrate as many parts of myself as possible.

It was the most painful gift I could receive but at the same time the most beautiful and empowering process. I took decisions that most people would be afraid to take, with the courage of a fool.

For me, there is no other process that can equal the beauty of the process of finding yourself, your inner essential self, at deeper and deeper levels. As I am delving into this process, I am enjoying myself and life on this planet more and more each day.

My healing journey helped me acknowledge that this reconnection and healing is possible and that every single one of us can experience it.

We all have a healer inside who needs to be reawakened so that we can be supported through our journey in life and also prosper and enjoy everything it offers!

Trauma is just one part of the story. We are much more than our traumas, we are SURVIVORS! We are beings who have an immense capacity to heal and evolve.

Life consists of much more than trauma and pain. It is also pleasure, connection with ourselves and all that surrounds us, it is love and adventure. No matter how wounded we are, all that we need to elicit our innate healing tendencies is the right kind of soil and some patient and compassionate gardeners.

I am grateful for all the support I have received and am receiving from my mentors and therapists, people who have helped me find my way back. I am looking forward to the next stage in my journey and I am also very happy to meet you on the road!

Here is a thought of mine that helps me every day: Stay present, cultivate the heart space and nourish your connections!

Our human experience is no more than a “Heart’s journey”, a heart that becomes open again through trust, in order to live the state of unity with all there is: shadow, wounding, darkness, love and gifts.
